Ad2408
Hi all Sorry if this is in the wrong place! Looking for a case to display my 1/72 Halifax in. Anyone got any good suppliers? Thinking of a square or rectangular glass or acrylic (acrylic probably safer) case with enough space to display a name plate. Need a supplier for the name plate too! Can you get logos etched onto the name plates? Thinking of the RAF crest for the relevant squadron. Thanks in advance Adam
bull-nut
If you can spare the floor space, then I can recommend the Detolf cabinet from Ikea. It probably costs less than a single stand alone case, and you'll get 4 big heavies in with room for some support vehicles as well. The shelves are some distance apart, and fixed, so you are going to have lots of empty space unless you fit some extra shelf brackets (6mm wire rope clamps work). If you do decide to fit extra shelves, it will probably work out cheaper to buy another cabinet just for the shelves rather than getting them cut by a glazier. Stonar
Might be worth giving fellow member Nigel Julian (Lampie) a ring. http://www.airframed.co.uk/contact.htm As a modeller himself he'll certainly understand exactly what you want. Cheers Steve
