OlegTheMeerkat
I bought myself the at st kit and wasnt sure what colour to use for the main body. I have gathered paints for all the others parts like the cab, crew.... I got a new pot of paint for the body thinking itll be the cortect colour but wasnt happy with it when it arrived. Im after just the colour for the body and i prefer humbrol paints so if anyone can give me the best humbrol colour for what i need that will be perfect. Deadman Disciple
I had the same problem trying to find one color to paint mine in, most of the guys here have mixed greys to make the grey needed to airbrush theirs. I used Tamiya XF-80 light grey as I couldnt find a Humbrol grey & it took 2 coats by me brush painting by hand. It was £1.90 from Hobbycraft in a little glass pot. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234998335-holy-snowballs-lord-vader-an-at-st-on-hoth/ Hope this helps, Wayne. Andy Moore
I used Tamiya medium sea grey on mine, with some white added to it for highlights. If you want to use Humbrol, you could try their medium sea grey (165). To be honest, any mid to light grey should be fine. Andy
FG2Si
Here's a translation of the paint chart if you're interested: http://www.mech9.com/2015/03/148-at-st-construction-manual-color.html?m=1 The colour names are for Gunze paints. After mixing up a batch for my build, I ended up using the same Medium Sea Grey as Andy. Carl
