Arctic Harrier Italeri 1/72 Harrier GR.3 No. 1 Squadron, Norway, Winter 1986

Kit of two halves: nice details and fine panel lines in parts, flaws and imperfections, and noticeable details lacking in other areas such as cockpit and wheel wells. Good fit for the most part. Decals went on well. Overall nice kit and build.

Added minor details such as few bits and bobs in cockpit. Modified and scratched a woeful seat; few lights from clear sprue, added SNEB pods as the kit doesn’t supply any. A few spikey aerials from beer can foil, pitot from sewing needle and opened up a few vents and ducts. Humbrol enamels throught with the exception of some Tamiya NATO black and Alclad. Weathered using pastels and varnished with Alclad semi-matt. Thanks for looking.

For my second build I built Amodels 1/144 Canberra T17.

Brush painted with Humrol enamels, weathered with black Flory Wash.

I added the aerial from nose to tail using some plasiticard to make the aerial & the wire is rigging wire. (you have to look very hard to see it)

Second entry for this excellent GB, a Marineflieger Tornado under the awesome and menacing Norm 87 scheme. Kit used was the 1/72 Revell with decals from the Italeri "Strike Fighter" boxing".
