smuts
Date: Sat 15 Dec 2018 to Sun 17 Mar 2019 Co-hosts: PlaStix and vppelt68 Hi Guys, here's one for us track heads... any interest in a Panzer IV STGB ??. lets face it it was the backbone of the PanzerWaffe. STGB could cover all versions from conception to the closing days of the war. would also include the spinoffs that used the same chassis/powerplant , ilke the StuGIV's flak wagons, Hornisse/Hummel/Jagdpanzers/Bergenpanzers. BTW... they were used by the French & eastern european armies, they were active with Arab forces in the middle east too....so a good scope Andy 1. smuts 2. vppelt68 Co-host 3. Shemaniac 4. Arniec 5. vppelt68
Yes! Edit: I fondled a Tamiya 48th scale late prod H kit at my local shop today... Nice! Will be my kit of choice when we begin this STGB 😊 Edited April 9, 2016 by vppelt68
Shermaniac
Could be interesting: they were used by Syria on the Golan Heights
AnonymousDFB1
Oh got a Tamia 1:48 Jagdpanzer, with PE, turned barrel, metal tracks and brass shells and casings. Have been looking for an excuse to build it. I also want to get a 1:35 model as well... This could be the opportunity to build one or both.

SleeperService
Count me in for sure. My record is appalling for finishing anything in a GB but things are looking more positive now

Andy (smuts) doesn’t seem to around as much these days as he used to be, but it would be really great for this STGB to go ahead - even if it probably won’t happen until later next year or even 2019. It still needs a few more sign-ups but I can co-host if needs be. Kind regards, Stix Signed up so far: 1. smuts (Host?) 2. vppelt68 (Co-host) 3. Shemaniac 4. Arniec 5. PlaStix (Co-host) 6. Ozzy 7. vppelt68
Oo Stix... Give me back the six years I haven't lived yet, please. That's my older sister that was born in '62... Not me . To be more serious, I'm about to get me "some" 1:100 Shermans for their future STGB, and they'd need a force of Pz IV:s to counter them. Dumped my resin/metal battlegroups when I got back to "proper" plastic modelling but now feel the urge to re-arm Oh and if Andy doesn't care hosting this I'm willing to jump in too, if needed. V-P Sounds like a good plan about the 1:100 PzIVs. I'm in the Sherman GB too - should be fun! Still not decided which/what I'm going to make yet. I think it could well be me and you hosting then, but, if Andy is still around and wants to host I'm happy to step down. Plasto
Thanks, So to confirm this is anything on a Pz IV chassis?? Cheers Plasto
Badder
Wow, bit of a long pregnancy this one! I refuse to make a Pz IV. I just don't like the look of them. But I DO have a StuG IV in the stash, so count me in. One point to clarify.... if it's okay to include any vehicle that uses the same base chassis, how about a Nashorn with the extended chassis? vppelt68
Well yes, as Hornisse and Hummel were mentioned in the opening post, can't see why not. Stug IV is an excellent choice too! V-P

As far as I'm aware the Nashorn had both Pz III and IV components so I don’t see why not. Are you interested in taking part? It would be good to see one of your builds in one of your amazing diorama’s - though I suspect you may not have much time to evolve it! vppelt68
Found this, I thought I had traded it but luckily not . Maybe a bit dated but still a classic, the PATBON!
Plasto
As an idea and given its early days why not make it a combo GB to cover Pz III and Pz IV variants / chassis. This is widens the scope which may attract more participants. I'd also ask how likely is it the Pz III would get a GB on its own... Anyhow food for thought... Cheers Plasto

Kind regards, Stix Hi Stix, After the heart breaking double-ruination of my Nashorn way back when, I always planned on making another, but I keep getting distracted. So this GB would be a great 'kick up the exhaust pipe'. I reckon it'll be another year before 'Ever evolving' is completed (with AFVs and figures as well) so I'm well up for a GB that isn't going to start for a year or more yet! Count me in!
