@PlaStix, thank-you for all the effort you have put into hosting this Group Build, I have enjoyed it greatly (to the detriment of some other duties ...)

I’ll second that!  Some fantastic builds on this one.  Top work everyone! 👍

My two are in the gallery - as usual for me on the last day of the GB.  :D

I've thoroughly enjoyed this GB.  It has taken me somewhat out of my comfort zone.  Although I have been a number of AFVs before they have all been in smaller scales.  This is the first time in over 40 years that I have built a 1/35 AFV.  However, it won't be the last.   I originally intended to build a Nashorn in this GB, but I thought that building three 1/35 kits in one GB was pure insanity...   :mental:   I still want to build it - well, even more so now - so it will make an appearance in the Specialists GB.

Many thanks to Plastix and vppelt68 for an exceptionally enjoyable GB.

It is insanity... Add in a 1/48th Build as well and it’s certifiable...

Well we are nearly there boys and girls.  It's been fun and I managed 6 at 1/72. I was really pleased to see so many others at smaller scales too - even down to 1/100.  I know 1/35 is regarded by many as the 'default' scale for AFV's and the quality and detail of those entries is mind blowing - but 'tiny tanks' is where most of us started and I love a bit of childhood nostalgia.

Every single entry is a winner on some level and I hope you have enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.  the camaraderie and support from other builders has been the best bit for me.

WELL DONE TEAM PANZER IV

I NEED MY BODY-CLOCK TESTING. I THOUGHT I HAD AT LEAST AN HOUR OR TWO TO TAKE PHOTOS OF NASSY, AND GET THEM INTO THE GALLERY. TURNED OUT I HAD 40MINS AND I ONLY JUST MADE IT WITH 5MINS TO SPARE!

That's usually what happens to me - This is the first GB that I've taken part in that I wasn't the last completion in about 18 months...

HI all.

WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO GOT A BUILD IN THE GALLERY!

I have got the poll up and hopefully it will work!! You'll see it's separate to the Gallery as it's the first poll I've set up and I didn't want to break the Gallery!

You'll also see I have done it in three sections - one for smaller scale models, one for the mid-range scales and one for the larger scale. I think it's fairer as I think some of the smaller scales get overlooked in GBs like this......and we'll have three winners!!

The Poll will close on SUNDAY 31st MARCH at 18.00 UK time.

Please go and vote!!

Thank you to everyone who took part - I had a great time and I hope everyone who took part did too!

Kind regards,

Stix

Hi Stix.

I accidentally voted on Q1- 1 and then thought I'd nullify it by voting for 2. And it over-ruled my first vote and now shows my vote for '2'. I have no idea what either 1 or 2 are. If you can delete my vote that'll be that problem solved... whatever it was. Now I will go and vote proper!

Soz,

I didn't mean to cause hassle so early in the voting - or morning even!

Badder

@Badder I'm not sure Stix can see your vote to change it, but ...

... can you see a 'Show Vote Options' button at the bottom of the poll?

If so, you should be able to re-cast your vote, overriding whatever you said before ... note, you won't see what you voted for, just vote again and that should over-ride whatever it was.

Hi guys.

Just got back from working in Egypt for 6 weeks. Totally messed up my plans, and missed the deadline..... doh.

This was my first try at a group build, and it's been fascinating to see the skill and dedication that all of the participants have shown.

Unfortunately, I'm busy till at least October, and Egypt customs officials stop you taking anything that they don't like the look of, so I'll have to miss the tiger build, but hoping to make the panther GB.

It's been a pleasure taking part, and hats off to the organisers for spending their precious time sorting this out.

Good luck to all the entries, and let the best man win.

Cheers

Paul

Well despite my other life taking over and killing modelling time I still got one build in. Thanks to the mods and all builders for a fun and inspirational GB - I've been blown away by some of the skill and technique on display and I've also picked up more than a few ideas I want to incorporate into a less time constrained build over the summer - a 1/35 Bulgarian IVH that isn't grey or yellow (and now I've told you, I've got to have a go haven't I? :D)

I'd also like to join the vote of thanks to @PlaStix for hosting this GB. I've had a great time with it, the support has been fantastic, and I've learnt a lot watching the really high standard of modelling.

It was my first GB but it won't be my last, I've already started on The Specialists with a Universal Carrier (I reckon they're a bit light on armour over there ). I've been persuaded to put my Pz IV in the Lancing model show in May, maybe I'll see some of you round there.

Well done to all that took part - This has definitely been my favourite GB so far.

Thanks to Stix for doing a superb job of hosting.

I'll hopefully see some of you in the Patton GB, Tiger GB, or the 75th Anniversary of D-Day GB

All the best

Hi Badder. Sorry for not replying last night but it was waaaayyyy after my bedtime! Usually, on a Sunday night - because I have to be up at 5.30am on a Monday for work - I'm normally in bed by about 10.30pm. I'd stayed up to see in the end of the Gallery being open and to get the poll up and running. First off - you were giving me heart failure before five to midnight!......leaving it until a few minutes before the gallery was due to lock to get your photos posted!! - It was the Vignette GB all over again!!!

Then the poll thread, which I had set up ready to be posted after midnight and which I had been working on since about 8pm, decided to crash and lose all the names/tanks/titles etc. just as I tried to post it!! Luckily I had saved all the information in a Word document so it only took me about 15 minutes to input it all back in again. Then I wanted to post a few links in other places so more people would know the poll was open. Anyway I was a bit bleary eyed by the time I saw your voting issue - luckily Enzo has been able to sort that out!

H Robert and thank you for replying to Badder. Luckily Enzo saw the problem and was able to sort it.

@Badder      You voted in the Gallery thread.   Stix isn't using that poll so I have deleted it to prevent any confusion.

Thank you very much for sorting that out Enzo!

Hi Paul. Sorry you were not able to get your project completed in time but I hope you get it finished at some point and, if you do, make sure you post some photos here in the GB thread. We'd love to see them. Hopefully we'll see you next in the panther GB then!!

Hi Andy. I'm really pleased you managed to get your build into the Gallery and yes....we'll all now be looking out for your Bulgarian Pz.IVH that isn't grey or yellow! :hmmm:

Hi Churchill. Thank you for your comments and I'm pleased you had a great time. Good luck in your next GB and I'm sure the people attending the Lancing Model Show will be impressed by your Pz.IV!

Hi Ben. Thank you for your comments and I have to say it was a fun to host it too!! I'm planning on taking part in all those GBs and will be co-hosting with Ozzy in the Tiger GB. I'm looking forward to seeing your mini-masterpieces in all of them!

Thank you to all those people who have voted so far and, if you haven't voted yet, the poll can be found here:

Kind regards,

Stix

As a non-starter participant and a non-show co-host, which makes me a villain and good for severe punishment :whip:, I want to express both my cincere thanks and apologies to Stix for hosting this Group Build all by himself! I had nothing to do with its success - except maybe just because I was absent it was one :coolio:.

Well done Stix! Best regards, V-P

I have a super Pershing for the Patton, an Achilles for the D-Day (a bit complicated, that one), and I'm looking for an Elefant for the Tiger GB, so I'll see you there!

Another fantastic armour GB, cheers Stix. I like your voting category’s, unfortunately it doesn’t make it any easier to pick a favourite.

You will indeed.

Having to resist the urge to start the Patton one.

I'll be building an M60 resin conversion on a Revell M60A3 for the Patron GB, a detailed up British DUKW for the D-Day GB and either a detailed Gruppe Fehrmann Tiger 1 or a reasonably out of the box prototype Sturmtiger for the Tiger GB, all in 1/72 of course.

Hi all.

First of all - a big thank you to everyone who has voted so far! Looking at some past GBs we've had more votes cast in a couple of days than some have in the whole time the poll is open! But I am greedy..............

If you have already voted then please ignore this post - I'm sure most of you will have voted - but we officially had 47 modellers taking part (see below) and so far only 30 people have voted (and I know some of the latter did not take part in the GB!} If you haven't voted yet in the poll - please can you do so? It would be great to have a truly representative result in each section of the poll.
