StephenCJ
Hi Britmodeller Mates, Another model started while waiting for the bits for the Vampire to arrive. Some parts painted. It is now ready for the fuselage halves to be joined. Closeup of cockpit. It looks pretty good considering I have had the instrument panel in and out many times the control column is now not sitting in the right place and the seat is too high. The instructions are not Airfix, I am pleased with it so far. Thanks for looking. Stephen

rob85
Always liked the boomerang, it's not modelled often so good to see this one on the go! Nice work and the kit looks a good one, would you recommend it? Rob
Procopius
Just got one of these from Stew, hope you'll share all your insights as you build it.
TonyTiger66
I've been looking for a Boomerang in 1/72. This one seems quite hard to find. I'm really interested to see how it all goes together. Nice work on the cockpit. The engine looks great; what paints did you use? All best regards Tony
StephenCJ
Problems with this build. Not many. 1/. I had trouble with the location control column. Where I thought it should go it was too close to the instrument panel. I moved it back and the seat doesn't sit correctly. 2/. The instrument panel has 2 side panels, there is no use putting those on until the panel is in the cockpit. 3/. The underside side of the cockpit has a ridge where it meets trailing of the wing. I trimmed it off as the wing fouls on it. See picture below. It is a lovely little kit. I have used Mr. Colour paint. The interior colour is a mix of a light grey and green as I couldn't get the right colour. Thanks for looking.
