baldrik1978
So I've decided it's time to get the correct paints together for doing a correct paint job on Slave 1. So far I've managed to track down the hull red, German Grey and Olive drab. Does anyone actually have a list other colours are required? Also if you have any knowledge as to what parts are painted with what colour that would be great. Many thanks in advance
BobSolo
Search for pictures of the actual prop model taken at the Star Wars identities Exhibition, they are good reference material as are the films, good luck. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Star+Wars+identities+Exhibition&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=T0P8VvzYK8HrPtygr4gM
Richard Baker
Some reference pictures: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/slave01.jpg http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/mc_slv1.jpg http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/jb_slave.jpg http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/refpix/ms_1979.jpg If you have an image program like Corel you can pull a CMYK/RGB number from the Pixels (just take a number of them and average to compensate for lighting...)

FG2Si
This might help a bit too. They're the instructions for the Fine Molds Slave 1 which has Gunze Mr Color paint numbers on it. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10049184/10/0 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10049184 Carl
Andy Moore
I built the Finemolds 1/72 one a couple of years ago. It was painted with a combination of Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo The upper hull was based with a mix of Tamiya XF-14 JA Grey, XF-55 Deck Tan and X-1 White The darker chipping colour was a 50/50 mix of XF-76 IJN Grey & Gunze H70 RLM 02 The green was XF-67 NATO Green The skirt was based in the same colour as the hull The pink tone under the hull red was Vallejo 148 Warm Grey The red was Vallejo 982 Cavarly Brown, lightened with a drop of 304 Light Rust The underside was mainly the above colours, plus some Panzer Grey Andy
