Killingholme
Hi all, I'm building a Mach2 1/72 R-7 rocket with Sputnik3, just for a change really, A lot of the crude detail needs removing, but I'm struggling to find pictures of the rocket for me to use to scratchbuild replacements. Can anyone point me in the right direction- I am particularly interested in adding detail to the engines, and replacing the clamps which hold the boosters to the main stage. Any help appreciated Will
Caerbannog
Maybe you can contact Tomas Kladiva from New Ware: http://mek.kosmo.cz/newware/or sign up to the Space Modelers on Yahoo: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/space-modelers/info. They are very active and have a huge knowlege on all real space stuff. Rene

Eric Mc
I think Sputnik was the 8K71PS version. I am pretty sure the Cyrillic lettering in parentheses says "Sputnik".

Killingholme
Thanks guys, some very useful leads.- it is especially useful to know the official designations to help my searches, I think I will probably spend the next three months sanding down the Mach2 parts (!) before I am left with a blank canvas on which to add detail.
