Ginetta - where's the love?

I used to work next door to the Ginetta factory in Garforth about 6 years ago. They were working on the design of the G50 at the time and the factory team LNT Racing were running a Panoz at Le Mans. I painted a couple of driver figures to celebrate their class win at Le Mans that year and got invited into the factory to meet up with Lawrence and a couple of the other drivers, got a personal tour of the factory and the G50.

The following year I went to Le Mans and managed to blag a pitlane pass from them so was stood on the grid an hour before the race started!!

PM did a resin 1/43 of the Panoz that I eventually built as part of a Le Mans GB on here.

Great bunch of people, very passionate about their cars.

Cheers,

Warren

Wish we could see that here in the US. :weep:

I can't find the Knockhill race the boys are referring to higher up as it only aired a few days ago so the highlights aren't up yet, but here is a race from the same series earlier in the year, the most impressive thing is the age of some of these drivers (15-16 yr olds!) makes for some great 'no fear' racing, enjoy

I remember a few years ago a girl called Sarah and she beat her brother and boyfriend to come first. :mike:

Some bloody cool topics and rides in this thread.

Love watching those G4s at the historic races at Pacific Raceways each year (didn't make it this year sadly).

Wicked little Cobra Codger, and Super 7 Twobad.

Not as wicked as those cars, but on the topic of the YB, I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time last year to get my hands on one of the few Escort RS Cossies that were brought into the US in the late '90s. Small, fairly light, AWD...things a blast to drive.
