Geoff King
1/43 Southern Cross Miniatures 300SLR. I started this for the Le Mans group build a while back and didn't get very far, but with a little free time the last couple of weeks I've gotten close to finishing. I used Vintage Racing Miniatures old Mercedes silver laquer paint straight from the bottle, sprayed well and seems quite durable. Decals are not finished yet, chrome trim is foil. If work doesn't keep interrupting me I hope to have it finished in a couple of weeks! Cheers, Geoff Edited March 22, 2016 by Geoff King
sharknose156
very nice. will be cheering. did you use zero paint or gravity colors ? is this Levegh's infamous car ? Edited March 22, 2016 by sharknose156
Geoff King
I used paint from Vintage Racing Miniatures here in the US. I have both the Zero and Gravity paints but have not used them on anything yet. Maybe a Maserati sometime soon! I chose to model the Fangio/Moss car out of respect for Levegh. Next up is the Jaguar D-type and then the Austin Healey.
