This is the first time I have put something in RFI.

I finished this about 3 weeks ago. I thought there would have been more of these to be seen on this site.

Its a nice wee kit, very nice details and rather fragile. The rigging helps strengthen it.

The fuselage stripes are decals. The top and bottom pieces do not align with the side pieces. I think whoever drew them forgot that a stripe cut an angle is wider than a straight across cut.

The rigging is done with stretched polythene plastic sprue. Sprue from a set of Airfix figures. It can be stretched till its very thin and it has a small amount of elasticity to it: enough to pull tight for rigging, as here.

The wires at the front of the wings were done with one long piece, as were the aft wing wires.

Lovely work, BK. Ingenious solution with the polyethylene stretching, too. I'll have to try it.

Nicely done - I think it's a great little kit and you've done a cracking job. Mine is almost complete - just got the rigging to complete and some small touches of weathering and then hopefully I will get some pictures up on the site. I agree with you - I thought we'd have seen a few more of these by now!

Brilliantly built, and it must be tiny!

Is it an Airfix new tool? If yes, I didn't hear of it.

It does look yumy!!!

Well done!

Its actually quite big, about 100mm long by 115mm wingspan

Its a new tool from Airfix. Just out in February this year.

Thanks for the compliments chaps.

It is a new tool JR and you're right - it is tiny (and fiddly) but plenty of detail for the size.

It's also been a pleasure to put together with absolutely no fit issues that I've noticed - just what Black Knight said about the striped decals being a bit out of alignment - I'd definitely recommend you look for one of these - especially when you can get it for pocket money

As I said - the most fiddly bit has been the rigging - but it wouldn't be the same without it.

I'll hopefully get some pics up once it's complete

Best wishes

Kris

Looks fabulous. Your rigging looks good too. I haven't seen many built at all - same with the new BE2 as well.

Adrian
