Gloster Javelin FAW.9R XH893, 1/48 Airfix

A beautiful rendition of the Javelin. A great paint finish. I wish Airfix would scale it down.

I'm in full agreement with Keith. The best yet, thanks for sharing. I am inspired to bring my Javelin forward by your post.

Brilliant Javelin! And a great big yes to Airfix scaling it down to 1/72nd scale. As far as liking early British jets, who doesn't?

Jason

That is lovely. I do fancy a javelin myself but they're just so big in 48th. A scale down would be welcome.

Man, she is gorgeous!! The pre-shading and paint work are superb! My wife bought me this kit for Christmas and I will be building it later this year...if I can get mine to look 50% the quality of your workmanship, I'll be happy. :thumbsup2:

Do you have a build thread on here for this? If so, I'd like to take reference from it when I build mine!

Cheers :)

Martin

Smashing build, weathering is masterful. At risk of upset my ex Javelin rigger says "no open airbrakes on the ground ". Sounds like Spitfire flap syndrome all over again!

As the others have said I think this is the best build of a Javelin I have seen so for, one of my favourite aircraft. Can I ask what paints you used as the colours look very good?
