This is a G-series, night fighter, it was likely built in 1944 and it served with Nachtjagdgeschwader 3, the unit responsible for the night air defence of Denmark and North Germany. It was one of five Bf 110's taken by the British for technical evaluation. In 1946, it was selected for preservation by the Air Historical Branch.
