Grumman Hu-16 Albatross with action, lights and sound

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just finished the Trumpeter 1/48 Italian Air Force Grumman Hu-16 Albatross . I like this plane so I added a lot of features like engines, sound and lights.

I had a lot to rework because nothing was "italian", but just a base version with italian decals (wrong and lacking). I had to add or modify a lot of antennas and other details and add or build lacking decals.

I hope you like it.

That is brilliant,.......the model is superb by itself but the additional working engine`s with noise and lighting makes it so much better still.

My only criticisms (if you can call them this?) are,........pity you didn`t put a figure in the cockpit to work the throttles,......and the blue tak (white tak) under the wheels is showing on the photos,....so nothing major and minor niggles,.......so pleae don`t take offence as none is meant.

Fantastic job!

Cheers

Tony

You can't see him, but I have a pilot in the right seat operating throttles, I added him (it?) after I took the interior pic.

Take a close look at the 2nd pic from below of this post, you can barely see part of the pilot in the right seat (grey flight suit)

.and the blue tak (white tak) under the wheels is showing on the photos,..

I took the pic just few minutes after finishing the plane. The glue was not yet dry and white, now is no more white and dry...and vanished.

That's a lovely model Angelo. I hope to do a Sosnish one in 1/72, but I'm sure I won't be able to get working engines! ;)

Great movie, well done :)
