cevenden
Hi All, I wish to model a UK Apache from early on in Op Herrick. I have the Heritage conversion and some Model Alliance decals, but have as yet to but the actual kit. I as going to use a Hasegawa model as the base. But which Hasegawa kit is best - the standard AH-64D boxing or the JASDF kit? Cheers, Chris Evenden Australia
exdraken
there is also a "Royal Army" sic! boxing... best way for a WAH-64 Apache is using the Revell kit as a donor for Bristish sensors and whichever Hasegawa AH-64D kit. you still need new rocket pods, as the British use CRV-7 pods with rouded, black fronts: http://www.kitsforcash.com/cvr--7-missile-pods--last-few-to-clear-then-that-is-it-8290-p.asp so this set is also an option: http://www.scale-rotors.com/kit/artikel.php?id=2920 http://www.kitsforcash.com/apache-wah-64d-ah1-uk-spec-update-including-cvr-7-pods-130-p.asp Edited March 8, 2016 by exdraken
daryl_five_zero
The regular Hase -D boxing (PT23) will be fine. The Heritage conversion kit is all you need to do an earlier 4-point HIDAS Apache. The Hase JGSDF kit (PT42) is the best way to go if you want to do an up-to-date AAC Apache, as it contains the M-TADS/Arrowhead housing, and the 3rd MPD in place of the ORT in the CPG's pit. The only thing missing is the extra lumps and bumps for the 5-point HIDAS fit.
