Right gang here's the boring bit to get through first; rules and regulations, small print, call them what you will but these are the basic guidelines for this STGB...

When: 5th March 2016 to 5th June 2016. As with all Tribute GBs this will never close but move to Completed after the end date.

Rules:

1- The Group Build is dedicated to the memory of our Member Edgar Brooks

2 - The Group Build will run from 00:01GMT Saturday March 5th to 23:59GMT Sunday June 5th 2016.

3 - Eligible Subjects for this Group Build include all variants af the Supermarine Spitfire/Seafire family. Variants that were built but did not enter service are also eligible. In addition, the Supermarine Type 224 is eligible as a forerunner of the Spitfire and all variants of the Supermarine Spiteful/Seafang family are eligible as the latest development of the Spitfire. Spitfires modified by different users and companies are also eligible.

4 - What-ifs reproducing variants proposed by Supermarine but not built and types that led to the Type 300 are allowed. As there are plenty of real markings available for the Spitfire family, we feel that fictional markings on real variants should be avoided. Markings representing aircrafts as used in movies or on existing warbirds are eligible.

5 - Models in any scale are eligible. Models must be built from kits, no die-casts are allowed. If in doubt, please ask

6 - All models must be less than 25% complete at the start of the build, if in doubt please ask the hosts

7 - All builds must have a WIP thread showing progress, no completed models can go into the gallery unless there is a build thread. Any modeller building 2 or more models may show them in the same thread if she/he wishes so.

8 - No buying/wanted or selling in the GB area please, all requests for sale or purchase are to be posted in the specific buying and selling section of Britmodeller

9 - Pictures of all completed models will be posted in the Gallery thread. Since this is a tribute Group Buils, there will be no poll.

10 - With this being a tribute Group Build, it's hard not to think with sadness of Edgar and all he did for the modelling community. Still, this is our favourite hobby and one way of honouring his memory will be to enjoy the time spent modelling, therefore the most important rule is, as always, having fun !
