RAF Merlin 1/48 (Airfix), plus bonus team photo...{Pic heavy}

Recommended Posts

Hi

After what seems like ages, here's my attempt at an RAF Merlin, as used in Afghanistan....Plus a bonus pic of the Merlin with some of it's flying cousins.

The Merlin is slightly untidy around the edges of the windows - always a part I struggle to get looking right.

Hope you like!

Cheers

Rob.

Looking very nice indeed. Where on Earth to you find space to keep them all??

Thanks!

I keep them in one of these: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00242278/#/20242277

It's now totally full, and the Hercules has to sit on top! Need a new cabinet I reckon...

Very, very nice. One of the more accurate Herrick Merlin builds I've seen regarding role kit etc...... Plus it's of X-Ray, the cab that survived a ground-to-air rocket strike but did not survive being recovered by the Americans!

Oh, she's the one that ended up like this? http://www.strategypage.com/military_photos/military_photos_20100627163633.aspx

What a shame!

Hmmm, maybe I need to build a Super Stallion next......

That's the one! If you look closely at the rear fuselage, you'll see where the skin has torn back after they slung a chain through the cabin windows so they could tow it out of the way with a Mastiff......
