Two photos i found on the net that might be of interest

Halifax in a three colour scheme ?

or is it ?

It's not really possible to pick the Halifax scheme but it's probably the standard Transport scheme.

Looks like PP233 which served with 301 (Polish) Sqn... ..which links it maybe to the first post in this link...............

Re the Halifax. there looks to be some kind of fault on the print, looking at the way the underside colour changes at the same time as that unusual upper-surface curved demarcation.

Nice to see an OTU Defiant - photos of any aircraft in OTU service are fairly rare.

Thanks Jerry: thanks to that airborne photo I can now say why they look so odd. The photo was taken on ortho film, making the red of the roundel and fin flash looks so dark, the yellow dark, and the blue very light. The blue in EDSG makes the colour come out very light, as in the well-discussed Skua on Ark Royal.
