John Irwing

Revell 1:48 Rockwell B-1B Lancer (04560)

Recommended Posts

Built over several years a couple of false starts, finally finished the big Lancer. She is built OOb apart from a few aerials and seat harnesses. There are several aftermarket sets available to bring her to a more accurate representation, but they are a pit pricey and this is close enough for me.

Brush painted (apart from the SRAM's) with Humbrol enamels. fit is iffey in places bit I am glad I persevered.

Great Bone. That thing is HUGE! Where are you gonna display it? Heck, I've been wondering what to do with my B36 in the stash.

Great job. I've got this kit in the stash as well. I remember building one of these when they first came out when I was a kid. It was massive!

Thanks for the comments all.

As regards storage she has her own shelf.

Brush painted! You could use a house roller on that beast! If there was ever a compelling reason to take up airbrushing, the 48th Bine has to be it. You have my respect for doing the hard way.

:wow:

Are those Hustlers 1/48 as well? If so then the B-1 is so much bigger than I thought.

Lovely job. Especially impressive if you've brush painted it. Top marks on this one. The Hustlers look very nice too.
