foxy
Great job Dan mate. Wogga mate if you look in the last lot of pictures you will see the crew in progress on the shelf behind the Sherman. Coming along swimmingly. Foxy
Dads203
Thanks you chaps, I'll have a look at oil and fuel stains Here is the lucky crew again. Commander is wearing the M1 lid and the loader is far left. Driver has a pair of goggles on and the assistant driver has a tankers jacket on. Jerry cans are being weathered up and some extra bits of stowage being looked at. Regards Dan

Dads203
Thank you everyone So added the wooded board to the front of the tank, I think that this was a crew mod and not factory but almost every period shows this in place. I've painted up with Vallejo wood colours, added some Mig chipping fluid and then sprayed it with Tamiya Olive drab. Left to dry for an hour and then using a stiff brush chipped it up with water. Once dry some lighter OD paint was added to weather it up. Looks quite good I think? Dan

Wogga
A lesson worth noting in treating a worn painted plank. Looking A1 as norm.

Dads203
Cheers Fellas, My Sherman is now from the 1st Armoured Division " Old Iron Side " Stock tank commander figure from the kit, not my best paint job but acceptable. All Vallejo paints and the unit and rank badges are from Archer. Flat varnish yet to be applied and then the fun bit, painting up of the head. Dads203
Masterclass after masterclass Dan, you will have me taking up knitting if you continue at this rate Cheers Julian, I've got another 3 to paint yet so put down the needles, stand back from the wool . Just noticed that I might need to get some paint on his trouser inside leg , he looks like he has wizzed himself. Cheers Dan
Dads203
One Figure almost done, bino's to add. Commander has had a shot of matt varnish this morning just to dull down his kit. I've started on the other figures Dan

Dads203
Cheers Chaps, I wasn't fishing at all Mr W , figures are not my strong point in this hobby, but practise makes perfect as they say. The thing with painting faces is that you are a couple of brush strokes away from disaster, normally with any mistakes it requires a strip and start again Just roughed out the driver, mainly blocked in the main colours on his uniform and most of the face and helmet are now done, shadow and highlights are required for the uniform and the Archer decals for rank and unit to be added.
