Mike
Tracks would be good. Have you got some replacement to the rubber bands that I've missed?
Dads203
Tracks would be good. Have you got some replacement to the rubber bands that I've missed? I have but I'm going to try and use the Tasca rubber band tracks, they are supposed to bethe best tracks on the market in respect to rubber band type, I have the Model Kasten indi links but the instructions are putting me off, I reckon a week just to do the tracks if I used the MK Indi links. Dads203
Thank you very much all , still a fair amount to do on this build So the fun isn't over yet. Next eh ? Well I think I'm going to have a bit of time on my hands so it would be ideal to clear a few Old projects. I have a kit I started about 4 years ago, never posted it as a WIP here on BM, about about I reckon 30% done and has a boat load of AM. A clue tomorrow in the next Sherman update I reckon Dan

Dads203
Looking better with every post Dan Presumably brewing the tea ? If it was a Brit Sherman then that would be a cert, I reckon he's probably making a nice cup of joe for the crew

Gremlin56
Lovely, I have a Dragon JagdTiger in my stash along with Friulmodel tracks for the beast. Just never got around to building it. With Trumpie getting ready to put a 1/16th JagdTiger on the market I might get led astray Be interesting to see which camo you choose Dan.
Dads203
So more detail painting done, hatch padding done on the turret Periscope glass done and a bit more chipping around the hull hatches. The crew done. Wot no tracks ? Jagdtiger is the Dragon kit with a new barrel and some PE, just so you know Dragon didn't do a very good job with the main gun, they measured the example in the US at Aberdeen Proving grounds. This Jagdtiger had the main gun spiked by the last crew that served it, they drained the oil from the gun recoil dampers and fired it. So the Dragon kit gun is too short and so is the Eduard turned barrel as they measured the gun at it's full recoil. Dan
Gremlin56
I read about that Dan, funny how faults slip into models and stubbornly stay there. Nice project though, will keep an eye out for it
The_Lancaster
Looking good there! That's some interesting info about the Jagdtiger, I knew the early Tamiya kits had issues but never thought about the dragon kit. Neither did I think that the after market would been wrong too! Thanks for the info, the model is a work of art and the chipping effects alone bring it alive.
Dads203
Cheers All, Tracks primed and basic painting done, test fitted. Next is a monster weathering and painting session, the track pads are solid rubber so they all need painting, I'll need to blend it all together but I think you will all agree that she looks every inch a Sherman. Thanks for looking Dan
