Aloha from the Sunshine State

My recently finished Minicraft 1:144 MD-80 in the old Hawaiian scheme. The kit decals are the wrong colour but I quite like the purple so not fussed. The kit goes together easy enough but has been on and off the bench for over 2 years now. I just kept putting it aside. Having recently deciding to finish a few of my KUTA builds this is the first. There are many others to come.

Gets a big "like" and :thumbsup2: from me. Did you have to cut back the white a lot to get it that smooth?

Thanks. To be honest I cheated the white with this one. It's Halford appliance white from a rattle can. It had 2-3 light coats. Well as light as you can go with a can.

Lovely build of a lovely kit. I'm not very knowledgable about American airlines and I wouldn't have known there was an issue with the colour of the decals if you hadn't mentioned it. It looks absolutely great to me!
