RayB24
Pretty much out of the box except BarracudaCals decals. Its missing a pitot tube on the wing. It kept snapping off. This is my second model after a 12 year layoff. Oh and scale is the only real scale 1/72 Next up a wwi green thing...

polo1112
Super looking Thunderbolt!! Did you paint the checker board cowling, or is it a decal? Beautiful work. Polo. :goodjob: Edited February 12, 2016 by polo1112

Work In Progress
That looks lovely. I wish they'd scale up that sheet for the new 1/24 Kinetic / VVS kit.
RayB24
Thanks for the compliments. The Checkerboard is made up originally of decals and paint. First was all decal and went horribly wrong. I nearly parked it for ever at that point. Stripped the decal off and then masked and painted. Then i managed to lose the canopy fitting it. It sprang off into infinity... Sigh I searched for days but couldn't find it. So waited weeks for a replacement from Tamiya. Ray

Work In Progress
The only joy I've ever had with that sort of checkerboard is paint it all white and then cut out black rectangles of decal to put into position, using very fine pencil lines to guide location.
