Thanks Dave.

No worries mate.

A shame the Kinetic didn't work out.

A good start on this one.

Thanks Lex.

More done today. The Aires exhaust shroud was added then I attached the spine and wings:

IFF 'Bird Slicer' antennae fitted. Note also the HUD repeater on the WSO's coaming:

Added some 'plumbing' to the main landing gear wells and attached the intake. Small bit of filler was required on the exhaust shroud join and the join of the intake:

A few more bits to attach and filler to clean up. Once that's done, should be ready for paint.

More soon.

More done today. Fuel tanks with pylons attached:

These are from the Kinetic kit as they've more detail than the Hasegawa offerings. Added a bit of detail to the WSO's coaming in the cockpit:

Most of the airframe has been cleaned up. Added the pylons to the wings, the Sniper pylon and the last of the lumps and bumps.

Having trouble getting the Y shaped plate that sits atop the main landing gear well to sit properly, hence the tape. Once it sets just need to add the centre line pylon.

Not much more to do now before painting.

After a busy few days at work, i've managed to get a couple of hours at the bench today. All the sub assemblies are finished:

Pavla ejection seats:

Aires exhaust, weathered with some Tamiya powder:

Ordnance and Sniper pod glossed and ready for decals:

The AIM-120's are from the Hasegawa kit, the AIM-9's and Sniper from the Kinetic kit and the GBU-38's from an Academy F-15.

Fuel tanks:

Painting on the airframe has started also, but no pictures as yet. Will be over a week before I get back to this as I'm off to Warsaw for a few days.

More soon.

Cheers Guy.

As I've mentioned in earlier posts, I built the Kinetic Sufa and it was no where near as bad as the boxing i'd initially used for this project.

Nearly there. Landing gear, ordnance, Sniper pod, fuel tanks, ejection seats, HUD, horizontal stabilisers, exhaust, pitot tube and FOD covers all added. Sealed in with a top coat of Vallejo matt varnish:

A coat of Tamiya Smoke has been added to the canopy (the Hasegawa kit part, like the Kinetic one requires this to replicate the tint) so I just need to paint the frame of the canopy and attach .A light dusting of weathering, a few RBF tags and the static dischargers to be added and that will be that.

More soon.

Hi Dave ,

That is one nice looking F-16 like the load out, you seem to be near the finish line now.
