AndrewCJ50
Dear Fellow Modellers I heard good reports of the new Eduard 1/72 Bf110 series and they weren't wrong! I added Eduard resin wheels, and rear MG15 as well as Quickboost exhausts. The markings are from the kit as ZG76, an aircraft brought down in the latter part of the Battle of Britain near Tonbridge. ZG76 retained their old fashioned RLM70 and 71 scheme throughout the battle. The Bf 110 had a good record in the Battle of France with the best kill to loss of any fighter by my analysis. But in the Battle of Britain they had less chance of carrying out bounces due to radar and the request to escort the slower bombers more closely. Their best hope was to make one shooting pass and then clear off, not to slow down or engage in dogfighting. A defensive circle neither protected the bombers nor guaranteed their safety. I hope you enjoy the pilots canopy opening lever with its red toggle? Regards Andrew

WildWeasel
Excellent, I'm part way through a Eduard 1/48 110 build, the thought of trying it in 1/72 makes me shiver!

Duncan B
The Eduard 1/72 Bf110's are one of my favourite series of models and you have done a great job on this one. Duncan B
Seahawk
As you may have seen from yesterday's thread, I am building the same kit in markings of the same unit. One thing I predict confidently is that it will not be as nice as yours - assuming it ever gets finished of course... Nice job!

AndrewCJ50
Dear Colleagues Thanks for your kind comments. I have to warn you over the shark's mouth. If you are doing one of these you need to make the very front of the mouth turn down. The Eduard instructions don't make this clear. I made the front of the mouth at the nose all straight, and since then from photos I have seen of the actual machines I can see this isn't quite right! Oh well Andrew
