Found in the Weibo from one of the most talentuous Trumpy Boss Chinese illustrator, Yiming Zhang: a Pilatus PC-21!

The next Hobby Boss secret project after the 1/48th Embraer EMB-314 Super Tucano ( http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234948314-148-embraer-emb-314-super-tucano-by-hobby-boss-released-avm-usaf-conversion-set/ ) ?

To be followed.

Not to seem ungrateful, but a non-resin PC-7 and PC-9 would be nicer. So many colour schemes and markings...I.

I understand where you're coming from in terms of the colour schemes/users arguments, but the PC-21 is just so COOL!

Personally I've little interest in turbo-prop trainers, but I would definitely buy a good 1/48 PC-21, particularly having seen one displayed at Axalp a few years ago. The PC-7 I can take or leave, but I always thought the PC-9 was one of the ugliest planes ever built.....donning tin hat and getting into trench now!

I would welcome it very much!

Turbo porp trainers are really nice and underrepresented aircraft in a great variety of color schemes and operators!

the PC-21 is just starting to spread... (Switzerland, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Quatar, Singapour)

:) :)

Open Question :

Do we need a 1/48 Pilatus PC-21 kit during the next 12 to 24 months !

My personal answer is : Yes !

Air Arms Options :

Australia (49) / 3 different color schemes

France (17 + 8 to 10 to come)

Jordan (12)

Qatar (24) / 2 different color schemes

Saudi Arabia (55)

Singapore (19)

Spain (24) / Most recent customer order

Switzerland (8) / Plus a serious option for the Patrouille Suisse

United Arab Emirates (25)

United Kingdom (2) / Empire Test Pilot School

Most probable next future customer :

Sweden (24 ?) / Promoted by Saab in Sweden

Your comments are welcome.

PC-21 will more than likely better both PC-7 and PC-9 family in term of sales, adding to mentioned list there are plenty of potential buyers in Europe alone ( Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Portugal ) not to mention rest of the world.

Would love someone to do it, but would prefer likes of Revell than HB, aside from PC-21, would like to see legacy PC-7 and PC-9M.

For all the historical subjects that have been kitted, there are still many types in current military service, some of them quite widely used, that have rarely or never been so. The Pilatus trainers are glaringly obvious examples, as too are many modern helicopter types. I would happily build a PC-9 or PC-21.

you make an excellent case for kiting this plane.  I did not realise it was so widely used.  It is certainly a beautiful aircraft and with the right scheme it would really pop

Here is another option (this I would build!):

Excellent point; I'd also add that the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II (also of Pilatus lineage, of course) could do with a mainstream kit, too.

Still no kit? Probably a licensing thing. 1/48 Turbo Orlik kit development was stopped by PZL litigation threat a few years ago.

I have this one in the stash:

As said before would prefer someone else doing PC-21, if nothing else, one of the most beautiful plane with prop in front, what  would I give for Revell to tool one in 32nd.scale,

but when another round go government subsidies kicks in no doubt HB will release one, hopefully will fall into 20% of TRU-HB without any major inaccuracy.
