PhantomBigStu Posted January 31, 2016 Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Ready to go, airfix ragwing mk1, plus a corgi diecast which needs a repaint (have asked if its ok to be in the WIP thread), needs a repaint as I lost the mast within seconds of opening the box of it 2 years ago, and despite forensic search of my university room at the time that day it was never found. Fitted here with a spitfire one from the airfix mk1, and is obviously in a different shade of Dark Earth, hence why a repaint is needed. As for the kit, likely I'm going to just do it OOB, but as can be seen I have a set of metal wings from the old tool handy, which may get used on a 2nd example of the kit. PhantomBigStu Posted January 31, 2016 Author Share Posted January 31, 2016 looks like I have 4 options for the repaint, though could yet add a decal sheet to my hannants order, like to do a BoB example, so that rules out one and possibly 2, and the 3rd doubt I could paint the spinner on it anyway. 4 options I have Yellow spinner YB-J, Tucks Post BoB DT-A, Cloves JX-B Wasp with the spiral spinner, and urbanowicz RF-E, which is the one I'm considering atm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PhantomBigStu Posted February 19, 2016 Author Share Posted February 19, 2016 Finally the ragwing is finished as is the mkii, delayed as had to sand the stabs down and repint, touch up went wrong. Also started work on the diecast repaint, use nail polisher remover to get rid of the tampoed markings first, and sanded down the raised corgi stamp, needs more though as can be seen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
