jean
Well, I had all but forgotten about that Hurricane idiosyncrasy!!!! I am actually surprised a conversion does exist. You are a brave man and I salute you! Have fun JR

rio
Had the conversion over 10 years. Perfect opportunity to do it.
rio
Normally do a rebuild on Hurricane kits. But as the top wing will cover it only doing the barest minimum. Rio
Rob G
I'd considered one of these for this GB, but couldn't find a conversion, and I'm not good enough to do it from scratch, as simple as it is. I'll follow along too.
rio
Think I got very lucky finding this. Rio

rio
Next update. Underside fittings in place. Oil cooler scoop hollowed out, as were the exhausts. Next will be to paint the wheel wells before priming. Rio
jean
Hi Rio, has the slip wing Hurri only been painted yellow on the underside? This is pretty catching in any case! Excellent work so far! JR

rio
Started on the upper wing, no attachment points at all. Had to study the available photos to get the right position. rio
rio
Due to possible problems with the top wing hitting the aerial on detachment it was moved to the underside.Rio Edited February 14, 2016 by rio
rio
Quick update. Put primer on, waited 24 hrs then first coat of yellow and looks like I did not mix it enough. rubbing down the top wing and giving it another try. rio

rio
Undercarriage fitted and prop painted. Hopefully start on the camouflage tonight. rio
rio
Camo started. Top wing was painted the same as the bottom, both were done in scheme A. Normally don't have any trouble with Lifecolor but the RAF Green was very thin and is not covering well. Hopefully another couple of coats will do it. rio
