Thanks gents

Iam, I used the Colourcoats USN Blue-gray over USN Light Gray; possibly it is the photo, or your computer screen, or perhaps it is lacking in some form of blueness... I'm afraid I have no idea whatsoever

Cheers,

Stew

it's so easy to open that can of worms about the "right" shade of color and I don't want to be the one doing so! Yep, could be my screen too! That said, thanks for letting me know the paint, I've never used colourcoats before - is this acrylic and is it generally a good paint?

Hi mate, no the Colourcoats are enamels, I prefer them for any sort of area that needs covering and really only use acrylics for detail painting - I can recommend them to you as excellent quality paints for spraying or brush-painting, but if you don't use enamels then they won't be much use to you.

I know what you mean about the worms, this has been my first Pacific Theatre aircraft build since I was about 12, so I started it in a state of blissful ignorance and was fortunate enough to receive good advice from fellow Britmodellers - I'm happy with the outcome but I am really not in a position to advise anyone else regarding the accuracy or otherwise of colours :)

Cheers,

Stew
