Hunter Rose
Cheers Bob, couldn't agree more! Ive been studying the sculpt, and i think im going to have to move the mouth up, it should be halfway between nose and chin and as hes going to be angry even a little higher. Can't believe i missed that, but its easy enough to correct.

S5 modeller
Cheers Bob, couldn't agree more! Ive been studying the sculpt, and i think im going to have to move the mouth up, it should be halfway between nose and chin and as hes going to be angry even a little higher. Can't believe i missed that, but its easy enough to correct. I think it looks ok. We're assuming he's a human here, if he was slightly alien, couldn't they have a different physical make up? Not necessarily identical to homo sapiens? Just my mad ramblings, feel free to ignore me. After all you're doing a thousand times better than I ever could. Hunter Rose
Unfortunately he's human so can't use that excuse with my proportions Matt (but wish i could! Haha) Tomorrow I'll smooth it over and do it again, don't really mind i want more a more angry look than it has now anyway
Hunter Rose
Okay so did a bit more today, mouth wasn't as much of a butcher job as i thought. I beefed up the chin, nudged the mouth up slightly and smoothed the nasolabial sulcus, which i think look much better now. And i also roughed out the eyeballs.  20160229_131401 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160229_132506 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160229_132516 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160229_132535 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160229_134709 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  Need to neaten up the left eye a bit and then I'll add the upper and lower lids to both and start to work on his scowl. Feeling pretty pumped today, feels like his face is really starting to come together. Thanks for looking, more soon

I've found thats the best way to approach sculpting, as a constant process of tweaking, if you look back to where the face started its worlds apart now.  Okay so I think one thing that hasn't helped the eye progress is i think my sockets are too big so ive beefed up the cheek structure below it.  20160302_130832 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160302_131057 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160302_131345 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160302_132523 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160302_133955 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160302_134232 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  Next I'll have another crack at the upper and lower lids.  Thanks for looking, more soon
Hunter Rose
Well more eye work was done today, it still needs tidying up, but considering this was the bit i had the most trepidations about im pretty pleased.  20160303_132555 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160303_133803 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160303_135021 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  Next up I'll tweak and neaten them before having a go at the ears. Hunter Rose
Spent my lunch break tweaking the eyes and cheek structure, also bent his head further forward to get his line of sight to where he's shooting.  20160304_133847 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  20160304_134104 by Nick Frost, on Flickr  Its getting there, next up I'll start on the ears. 68 SQUADRON
Really nice work Hunter. He reall reminds me of the Mekon form the old Dan Dare strips in Eagle comics. I may just have a go at him after seeing how you do it.

Will Vale
Question for you: How do you clean up the burrs and tooling marks without damaging the details? Is it like Miliput or traditional clay where you can use water to smooth things? Will
