wavodavo
Hello I have both these kits and was just looking at which ones I could do rather than the ones in the instructions. The GWH kit has decals for XM models (300 series engines) but appear to have jet pipes for for the 200 series engines. The Anigrand kit has the jet pipes for the 300 engines. I want to do XH557 when it had x2 200 series and x2 300 series engines fitted, would I be able to shorten the jet pipes on the GWH kit to make them 300's or are the already to that length? I that case, how to stretch them? Dave
donalyah00
The GWH kit has jet pipes for 200 series engines and they seem to have proper dimensions. There is one glitch however - you have to skew them a bit outside to resemble the original. I did that in my Vulcan (I stick to pure 200 series XH556) - I sanded down the outside part of the jet pipes base and delicately bent the outward pipe to the outside. As to the 300 series - you may try to sand down the business end of the respective jet pipes to shorten them. Regards, Marek
