Thanks for all the kind words guys I honestly would love to say that it was all me but in reality the Base kit from aoshima is so good I have no doubt anyone could make it into something better. As always after a build I now know alot of ways of how not to do bits for the next one .

Absolutely fantastic... I love it. I hope I can do half as good a job with the Gulf one that's on its way...

bestest,

M.

Matt funny you say that as I have been looking for the non lemans gulf decals for this but can seem to find them at the moment. I picked up another of the kits back in the black friday sales for £18

Thats an absolute beauty! Very nice finish. what do you use for your clear coat?

Top coat on this was regular old tamiya ts13. Over the last year I have learnt a lot but most important is not to try and rush stages. The last clear coat was done over 2-3 days in total with about a week in all under a box.

That's great, really superb!

Slightly off topic but I have a question that's been nagging me - do race cars benefit from being weathered? I'm struggling as to whether(!!) I weather my GT40 or not . . .

Nick

Reference pictures are key for a realistic weathering. There are lots of products out there too that are really good like oils and washes, even tamiya rubber black airbrushed at a very low pressure to ball it up works well or even a toothpick flicked in the rights direction.

Again thanks for the comments and now I just have to decide what to do next
