Triumph
I am posting on behalf of the builder Ian Collis it's his model Kit: Tamiya 1/48th Avro Lancaster, greatly altered to match NX611. Typical scene at East Kirkby The Kit has had all the work needed to make Tamiya's 1/48 Lancaster into the preserved Lancaster "Just Jane" Motorised spinning props. Full crew. Rear crew door open with interior detail added. Wheel centres made to match "Janes" Tail fins cut and set at an angle. Rear wings cut and now able to move up & down, (they are normally fixed). Pilots front window open, with the pilot giving the 'thumbs up' Fully working landing & wingtip lights. Mid upper gunner turret moved and altered as is the rear guns. Note because this is a loved and cherished preserved aircraft in real life, it's 'clean' and so is the model, so no need to weather it. Hope you like his work and there's a lot of pictures Edited January 22, 2016 by Triumph

Mr Modeller
Fabulous build Ian, so much going on in that dio, all of it beautifully built and with great thought on how to display the scene - very well done sir, one of the best Lancaster dioramas I've ever seen!! :coolio: Is that Guy Gibson and his black Labrador called "Nigger" that I see just in front of the Austin Tilley in one of the photos? If it is, the way that Guy's hair and features have been painted is very convincing and looks just like him?!!
