Photographers causing the Red Arrows a few problems

What a load of rubbish! I presume the ' official ' photographer meant the extended centreline, and how else would the aircraft land if they didn't ' come in low '. It sounds more like a Daily Mail shock horror story, I thought the BBC was better than that, but they seem to be drumming down like the tabloids.

Post-Shoreham twitchiness, methinks.

Interesting that ATC called time; normally the pilot makes his or her own decision.

Actually, from my experience off working in ATC, part of the local and runway controllers' roles are to ensure the pilot has a clear approach and landing surface. Nothing to do with Shoreham; it ('x' callsign OVERSHOOT!!) was a call I heard many times at Binbrook for a number of reasons. Equally, pilots will make their own calls, but show me a pilot who ignores safety calls from ATC and I'll show you a stupid, reckless and perhaps grounded one.

IMHO people will encroach into areas to get that perfect shot when and where they can, regardless of their safety or that of others.

That is all.

"Equally, pilots will make their own calls, but show me a pilot who ignores safety calls from ATC and I'll show you a stupid, reckless and perhaps grounded one"

Really?

"IMHO"

Seriously?

Yes to both. What's your point?
