Jens Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Along with the A-4M posted last night I have also finished this Kiwi A-4K Skyhawk. It's the Hasegawa 1/48 A-4E/F converted to an A-4K. The changes are all minor, and they are well described on the Gekko Graphics decal instructions. I used Xtracolor enamels for the SEA scheme and Gekko decals to finish it off. I armed it according to the Gekko instructions using a couple of LAU-10 fra the Hasegawa weapons set. Jens 30
Silver Fox Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Nice work, there can never be enough models of Kiwi scooters. The Gekko graphics decals are just fabulous 2
Parabat Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 That is very nice indeed, looks good in the camo and I like the contrast with the red slat base. 1
noelh Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 There are some great videos online of crazy Kiwi A4 pilots flying veèerrry low. Great job on the model. 1
LDSModeller Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Jens, Very Very nice RNZAF A4 Skyhawk, is one of my favourites. Years ago now, when living at RNZAF Wigram during an anniversary flyover, a Skyhawk came screaming over the crowd completing a barrel roll in the process should have seen all the civilians in the crowd jump great memories. Thanks for sharing your model photos with us Regards Alan 1
adrianm2 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Top work mate. There is something special about those markings... even the A-4 looks good on them. Adrian 1

Jens Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 Thanks for the comments. I agree that the SEA scheme looks good in the A-4, but then again, what aircraft doesn't look good in the SEA scheme? Jens 1
