Uv light source for yellowing decals.

Chaps.

Anybody used these nail varnish uv lamps:

For bleaching yellow decals?

I've tried using the window method but with no luck.

Mind you, I have K glass and no sunlight in the uk at the moment!

I've got one similar to that in action at this very moment, lightening some old Airfix P47 Thunderbolt decals. When I first bought it, I did a test:

The unit:

The decals before "treatment"

After 24 hours (continual use)
KP_Yak_23_003.jpg

After 44 hours (continual use)
KP_Yak_23_004.jpg

I kept the unit on continuously for 44 hours and as you can see, the results are very good.
