For bleaching yellow decals?

I've tried using the window method but with no luck.

Mind you, I have K glass and no sunlight in the uk at the moment!

I tried it with natural sunlight through my shed window. It's just thin glass, but it worked a treat. Mind you it took a while for the sun to come out.

I need something a little more controllable than uk sun light (or lack of....!).

I've got one similar to that in action at this very moment, lightening some old Airfix P47 Thunderbolt decals. When I first bought it, I did a test:

The unit:


The decals before "treatment"


After 24 hours (continual use)


After 44 hours (continual use)


I kept the unit on continuously for 44 hours and as you can see, the results are very good.

I have one similar to Dave's one. Similar results.

Ours takes longer cos its only got one bulb, the one in the link has four bulbs.
