Gekko_1
Here we see the original studio model with some dark grey panels. These are not mentioned on either the Bandai or Fine Moulds instructions. So with thinned Vegemite (thinned with tap water) I masked out the area....... .... and sprayed it grey. Next I'll add a darker grey using the sponge technique, then wash off Vegemite. Richard. Gekko_1
Nearly there. Still have to paint Boba, guns, base and then decide if I need to do any more weathering to it. Cheers Richard. Edited October 11, 2018 by Gekko_1
matiwashere
It's beautiful! Great weathering and those slightly darker stains on the grey areas rock!

Gekko_1
Thanks guys! Well I've learnt the hard way to follow the instructions! When it came to putting Boba onto his seat I realised it cannot be done this late in the build! Oh well. Since the cockpit floor had already been cracked by enamel weathering products I simply snapped it off at the crack! I was then able to fit Boba in no problems. I was then able to glue the cockpit instrument panel back in place. Those paying attention may have noticed one of the wings is now broken. Gravity and my trusty optivisor colluded together during the night! All fixed. Next up are the guns, the base and the canopy. Cheers Richard. Housesparrow
Lovely photo of the pilot inside. Offers a really good sense of scale! Something not easily seen with the canopy glass on.

teddylindsey
Wow, the chipping, weathering and level of detail is fantastic! I'm inspired to try out chipping fluid in future builds. Thanks for sharing.
