Are there parts in the D to make it into an H version?

Hacker

Yes, the first release was a UH-1D/H.

Oh, and it is a pleasure to build. I can't wait for the UH-1N to be released.

I wonder why Reality only went with a detailed main rotor hub and no blades as the blades for the D are incorrect.

Are they? I think the D blades are correct and it's the N blades that are wrong...I think!

Yep! I got that confused. Thanks for the correction Jon!

You've no idea what you've just done to my blood pressure there Sir! I think I need a lie down in a darkened room now :D

In other Huey news there's a float conversion set in 48th according to Scalemates https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hamilton-hobbies-au-raaf-army-uh-1h-float-conversion-limited-edition--1268261

I have tried contacting the company about availability but have, to date received no answer, by e-mail and FB. Hopefully someone knows more about it.

Ryan's doing kits as he gets to that project for his own use. At the moment he's producing:

1/72 RAAF AP-3C Orion 'ELINT' conversion - $20

1/48 RAAF UH-1B Conversion - $25

1/48 BAE Hawk 127 Update Set - $25

1/48 Wessex HAS31B Update set - $30

Prices don't include postage and he's in Australia. I have the top three on the way via the notoriously-unreliable Australia Post

Wouldn't mind a float-equipped UH-1H, though. I tried to form on one many years ago (our aircraft didn't have floats) but my skills were pretty poor at the time!

It would've been nice to get some accurate N main blades - that really disappointed me when I found out. Would it be possible to do them in resin, with some sort of spar to avoid excess droopage over time?

It does look like a lovely set but for the price they're asking I'd want to see the actual grease stains and leftover sandwiches from the maintenance crew - in scale - since I could probably bag an extra two kits for the money.
