Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
We've just received these in from Infini Model in South Korea: They have produced 4 different gauges / thicknesses for different applications, be it ship rigging, aircraft ariels or rigging wires. It's slightly stretchy, black in colour (this may expand) and nice and easy to work with. Why not have a look? http://www.sovereignhobbies.co.uk/collections/infini-model
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
How does it compare with the old WEM lycra rigging? I'll need some real soon. Also not knowing anything much about lycra, which is the finest and which is the thickest? thanks Mike Edited January 12, 2016 by Mikemx

sinnerboy
its a way of saying pardon ie "wot,I denier wot you said" I think it the thickness of threads as in the fineness of stockings, but as to whether 20 is finer than 10 or Vicky verser I've no idea. next time I go to hire my Rocky Horror outfit I'll have a look
krow113
AH! I forgot to say it in Lancashire brogue! I figured it to be an indication of the thread thickness , but still not aware of the thickness of this material, don't wanna spend 10 quid on a toss up! Looks to be for the ship models... Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
I folks, I never actually got to use the WEM stuff so can't compare. I'll try to measure the thicknesses this evening. The lower the denier number the finer the line though. The 20 denier (ultrafine) is more akin to hair thickness than thread. Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
Infini have come up with this stuff with ships in mind - EZ Line on a 1/700 warship for rigging looks like suspension bridge cables. It's usable for biplane rigging or even just HF ariels on 1/72 upwards scale aircraft too though. I suppose if you were mad and wanted to rig a 1/200 Supermarine Walrus the ultrafine would still do a good job.
