perdu Posted January 10, 2016 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Hi folks I have an Airfix Auster to build for a chariddee comp and there seems to be a minor problem The kit has the nice Army as well as the yellow Antarctic bird decalcommanie in the box but there doesnt seem to be a suitable upper fuselage glass section that is flat, only the famous old bulgey roof which I surmise has a homing beacon in it, just-in-case The question is was there ever a flat roof section supplied when Airfix added the ARMY option to the decs? The transparency sprue has several moulding gates which are empty but look as if something broke off The minor problem is in the rules "No after market or scratchbuilt additions may be used on the charity entry" And I need the flat top, I am prepared to sand off the bulge and use a strip of clear sellotape?(maybe) instead but I would much rather not have to (I dont want a yellow Auster, I like the AAC colourscheme) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
