dolphin38 Posted January 10, 2016 Share Posted January 10, 2016 My latest completion the High Planes Models Finger finished as a Brazilian Mirage IIIEBR, this is the boxing that comes with the Mirage EBR conversion parts and decals, it spent about 6 months on the shelf of doom and I decided to complete it over the Christmas period, the kit goes together quite well but the decals were a bit of a nightmare some of them were out of register and they refused to settle on the kit despite using Microset and Microsol and silvering quite badly, so it will probably go straight into a box and be exiled to the loft. enjoy Willy 20 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

An annoyance when it happens, however as we've seen a few times in RFI can occur to any modeller. That aside, it is quite a smart scheme and the build looks great overall. I have a couple in the stash and slowly but steady must concede to the fact that those panel lines will need some toning down, otherwise the decals will either bridge the gap(s) and silver or snuggle nicely into the trenches and become deformed when looked at. Don't exile this little gem to the loft but stick a couple of Python 3 missiles under the wings and let it sit for a time at the front of the display cabinet Ans thanks for the heads up on the decal quality - I was thinking about getting the same special edition box but shall now look for aftermarket Brazilian decals.
