ScanmanDan
Just a little question for the universe; Why, oh why, do we get so few marking options in 1/48 scale Tamiya and Airfix kits? I am building the lovely little Airfix Beadford MWD 15cwt truck and there are only two options in the kit. The kit lets you build the truck in multiple configurations and Lord knows it was used all over the place so why only two schemes? I've got another kit wanting to be built and thinking of getting a third but to get some cobbled together generic markings I have had to rob decals from two other Tamiya kits to make do. The Tamiya kits aren't much better as they don't have many options either and I'll have to find something aftermarket to fix them up when it comes time to build them. I love how easy and quick it is to build these kits and would love to build more but seriously the Tamiya Dingo has one option? One? Put a small square of decals with all the service markings and a few more numbers and I'd buy the kit for that. Okay so I have another in the stash already - I'm a sad case…but you get my point. Want to build the hobby? Give us some more options to build what is already out there. Just asking. It never hurts to ask. Dan
Stew Dapple
Don't know if these are any use to you Dan? https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SS13003 Cheers, Stew
SleeperService
I believe that Parabellum in Birmingham ended up with Tim Perry's decal stocks which have several sheets of Division/Brigade and AoS markings mainly for N.W. Europe. Dan Taylor Modelworks also had a few as did Bison decals. Then there's Gasoline in Paris and Peddinghaus in Germany to look at.
Mancunian airman
I got a fellow from Coventry, Paul Parkes, to do me a sheet of RAF related stuff so there is that option.
Silver Fox
Though for 28mm wargames vehicles (so nominally 1/56), these are pretty close. I have used them a lot. Scroll down to the British stuff and onto the next page for a very usefully Desert Rats sheet.
