spitfire1677
Hi all, I started an Italeri 1/35 Panther Ausf G yesterday...I have a plan for it, it wont be OOB. so here are the opening shots: Box art: Sprues: There are 5 of these: There are 2 of these: PE: Decals: Now for the cool part, I bought this on eBay a few years ago, Resin Flakpanther Coelian 5.5cm turret (manufacturer unknown): It came with these RB Models metal barrels: They are clearly an improvement over the resin parts: If you have never heard of a Coelian, have a look here. Started of the build: Turret fitted, needed to open the turret ring to get it to fit: Got most of the build done today, less the wheels and tracks: I couldn't wait and splashed some primer on the Coelian. I used A.MIG-921 Red Primer Light Base, if its good enough for the Germans its good enough for me, the guns are painted A.MIG-908 Grey Base: I am not sure about the scheme for this one...either all over dunkelgelb or dunkelgelb hull with a primer red turret. Thanks for looking
Sgt.Squarehead
TBH you could paint it sky-blue-pink and nobody could argue, but I'd agree, your choices sound more plausible.

FrancisGL
Interesting combination, guns are coool!!!.By other side it's a paperpanzer, but this, i think, you can paint it of color what you want (please Pink, better no...lol),
spitfire1677
Hi all, Don't worry Francis it wont be pink Lots of progress today Fruilmodel tracks assembled: A wee bath in MIG Track Burnishing Fluid: And I have decided on a scheme, the hull received some A.MIG-011 Dunkelgelb aus '44 DG I (RAL 7028): Thanks for popping in
spitfire1677
Hi all, My plan for this Panther is a rather beaten up hull and a new turret, so I have started to chip the paint work, I am using AK worn effects fluid for the first time: Just got the top of the hull and the running gear left to do Thanks for looking

spitfire1677
Cheers Francis Hi all, Disaster!!!!!! I gave the hull a matt varnish to act as an isolator between the acrylic paint and enamel filter: Well I have tried to fix it, dark red sprayed:Worn Effects Fluid added, and once dry the Dunkelgelb was sprayed:Then the chipping started: I am not entirely happy with it but have a couple of ideas, they are:1. Mud!!!! Give it some hard core weathering...not my first choice2. Cover the area with an air recognition panel...leaning towards this one3. Add a camouflage colour to the hull...not crazy about this idea Any hoo, rusted up the engine grills too: More soon, thanks for sticking with me

Hamden
Looks good to me. How about a bit of battle damage to cover the glacis plate Roger
Sgt.Squarehead
I rather like the look of the worn area on the glacis.....I'd leave it and carry on with the weathering process, I suspect it will blend in nicely in the end.
