ICM 1/48 MiG-25RBT

What I really want to say, is my final post. If anyone posted that way my initial unedited post I would find that very hostile and I would be annoyed.

So in that case I think this member is not behaving.

I guess our replying, is exactly what is the scope of that behaviour.

Annoying :-(

Ok. This is the ICM thread about the MiG-25.

Just to ensure that the equilibrium is maintained I will come out.

I prefer not to feed any animosity but my comments stand as they are because I know in which way they were meant. That said, it’s for the community to decide.

Have a relaxing weekend. I won’t visit this thread again.

Apologies if anyone took offence. My posts were to maintain some light hearted discussions and were certainly was not meant to cause ill feeling to Laurent or anyone else.

Thanks for the support everyone but actually let’s just relax and enjoy some models. They don’t build themselves.

Next week we'll present a Catalogue of 2016, where you'all see all the novelties. But still it may be a secret

Martin,

To back you up on this I have had my differences with our "friend" too. The impression I constantly get and which becomes more and more clear to me is that there are a few members which are only active here at the rumourmonger to provoke discussions and quite frankly, I do not see the point. In a lot of cases this always ends in pointless discussion which is constanly quoted and defended in irritating ways. This to me is just trolling in a very sanctimonious way. .

Maybe it's just for the best if we do not let us be drawn into the discussion these people are trying to provoke..

Martin, I can only applaude the way you (pro)actively move around this forum and inform, share and best of all, ask for information if needed. Keep up the good work.

Two thumbs up!

Reg. Jeroen

One of the best summations I have read for many a day.

Well Done, Jeroen……..I'm with you

Martin's unedited full post

And your point is ??????

ICM's MIG-25!

Looking forward to this one...

I agree completely. ICM have really upped their game recently so it will be worth a look. The AMK kit should also be good. One of them will become a two-seater for me but, for once, there are some nice schemes for this plane.

On the basis of the MiG-31 kit, I've seen enough that whatever ICM do, AMK will have a healthy market for their MiG-25. On the basis of the attitude that AMK have demonstrated towards the modelling community and their very open and helpful communication and customer service, I will wait for their kit. I do not yet see a similar immersion from ICM, and having had issues with some manufacturers where spares are impossible to get, I prefer to (where I have a choice) stick to a company that I can rely on.

However please do not take this as a criticism of ICM or their kit, just that I know AMK will deliver.

As 1/48 is my scale I'm not au fait with ICM, what are they generally like, ie what can we expect?!

If they produce something akin to their recent series of Dorniers 215's and Junkers 88's, we are in for a bit of a treat…….I know there is a big difference between WWII Luftwaffe bombers and Soviet fast jets but they have come a long way in recent years….

Hasegawa are the importer/distributor for several different brands in Japan. They've imported Revell and Monogram for decades - which is why you occasionally see classic Monogram kits turn up in Hasegawa boxes. They also import ICM kits.

Notice that the MiG-25 listed in Hasegawa's flyer is *directly* under the ICM logo. All the kits in that box are ICM kits, which Hasegawa will be importing. And right next to it is a box with Revell kits. It's basically like seeing a Hasegawa or GWH kit on a list of upcoming Dragon Models releases. Or Hasegawa/Fujimi/Italeri kits advertised by MRC. Or Italeri kits in a Tamiya box.

So the kit will be 100% ICM. But if you live in Japan, it's being imported by Hasegawa.

Was impressed by ICM Ju-88 and Dornier Do17Z so looking forward to this one especially if they can be bought as cheaply!

ICM didn't do a very good job with their DO 17Z-2 tail and engine bracing, abd I was not impressed with that.
