I removed the masking for the dayglo, taped up the wing leading edges for the anti abrasive black coating and finally applied the front and rear parts of the canopy. Phew! Next is masking the dayglow, black and canopy so that rattlecan silver can be applied (it's an experiment to see if it's better than brush painting. We'll see........ Whilst the likes of Nigel, Tony, Bill et al can produce quantity AND quality, yours truly has a big time mojo block So, with a little time to myself this evening, I dragged my twin stick blood sucker out of hibernation, blew the cobwebs off and prepared to give it another go. First off a bit of masking ......and then I waved a hairy brush at it. A brand spanking new pot of Revell acrylic aluminium and this was the result. Just don't look too close. I don't like brushing a metallic finish over large areas. As it is I think another coat, slightly thinned will be in order and then I will see if I can buff it a little. The plan then is to apply the transfers, being a mix of kit for the stencils, the Frog Sea Venom 'roo roundels and strips of yellow transfer from the spares box. Let's see how far I get.
