F4 Duo- Wildcat and Corsair

Recommended Posts

Morning all,

Sneaking over the line just before new year are my final two completions, the Airfix Wildcat and Tamiya Corsair. Both in 1/72 and completely out of the box. Two very neat little kits.

Very nice indeed Seamus, they are both cracking little builds - well done!! :coolio: :coolio:

The newly tooled Airfix Wildcat looks a stunning little kit in its' own right, but seeing it next to a Tamiya aircraft just emphasises how much Airfix have upped their game with their new toolings doesn't it? If I didn't know who produced either of the two kits it would be hard to tell which stable they were from, the Airfix Wildcat looking an equal to the Tamiya Corsair with regard to quality of moulding!!

Bravo Airfix and Bravo Seamus - I'm going to add one of those Airfix Wildcats to my stash very soon!!

Kev :)

Thanks for the kind feedback all, much appreciated :)

Regarding the colours, as usual I used Xtracolor-

X137 for the Light Gull Grey undersides- FS16440
X162 for the Blue/Grey topsides- FS15189

Thanks again,

Shaun :)
