Rob P
Finally the postie has been. Just had to make a start on it as it's a little gem. First task is to open the various holes in the cabin floor for this version and remove the rails for the starboard rear observer seat. Front bulkhead and rear cabin console. Exhausts are moulded separately. Break out the airbrush tomorrow.

Bigdave22014
Having just built an ancient version of the old Airfix kit, I'm interested to see the differences (then I can try and justify getting one )

Rob P
A small update. No spraying of interior yet due to obvious ejector marks and lack of filler (until today). On to sub assemblies, cockpit assembled other than seats. Here's a side by side view between the Airfix and Revell Seakings to show the different approach. Wish Airfix had gone to the same effort with their instrument panel. Cabin seats get a coat of blue. Once dry the frames will be dealt with. Sponsons assembled, lights and flotation bag gas bottles still to be added. Sand filter assembled, sadly lacking any surface detail. Tail assembled and ready to go.

Rob P
Everything paused as I wanted to see what the new Eduard etch set was like. It's finally here and a bit more progress at last. Primer tomorrow and get the insides painted.

Rob P
Minor update, working my way through the etch. Not enjoying the lapstraps on the seats in the cabin (more of that tomorrow)
