triumphfan
I was quite surprised to have finished 14 models this year as I hardly went in to my hobby room between May and September. During the Summer I visit classic car shows and some vintage race meetings, add to that the typical Summer activities of long walks at the beach with our dogs, leaves little time for modelling. Anyway, on with the pics and in no particular order (although the dates are logged in my diary) Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 934 'Vaillant' Revell 1/24 Cobra. Plenty of additions to this one and my favourite for this year (Class win at Lincoln & Newark model show) Fujimi 1/24 GT40 Le Mans 1969 (DNF) Fujimi 1/24 Ferrari 330P4 Converted to 412P Le Mans 1967 NART Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 911 GT2 Taisan Starcard Fisher 1/24 Porsche RSK 'centre steer' Fujimi 1/24 GT40 Le Mans 1966 winner Fujimi 1/24 GT40 MkI finished as a road going example Revell 1/24 Shelby Cobra 'Essex Wire' USRRC Profil 24 Alfa Romeo 308C Grand Prix car 1938 Revell 1/24 Shelby Cobra painted in Gulf colours. Why? Because I can, that's why. Revell 1/25 1968 Mustang GT 'Frank Bullitt's car' This was built for the IPMS Car & Motorcycle SIG display at the Nat's and also fitted in well for our club Christmas competition this year. The figure was made from mashing two Scale Production resin figures together. Finally, two FAA subjects. De Havilland Hornet NF.21 and Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 Both of these are Trumpeter kits and I found them a joy to build and paint. Well aware of the inaccuracies with these kits but I am not bothered personally, I'm in the 'it looks like a ****** to me' camp. I still have four projects on the go but I doubt any more will be finished before Thursday Thanks for looking in. Onwards and upwards !!

MikeW
I had a 1972 Mustang back when, but irritatingly enough, no one ever mistook me for Steve McQueen. Love that Alfa 308C Cheers, Mike

cmatthewbacon
Great collection! Hard to pick favourites, but just on the basis of the ones that I'd do the same way, the Gulf Cobra and Bullitt Mustang stand out. I've got a bit of a "McQueen's machines" thing going on, and I have wondered which of Mike's figures I should be buying... Excellent stuff all round... All the best, M.
triumphfan
I've got a bit of a "McQueen's machines" thing going on, and I have wondered which of Mike's figures I should be buying... Excellent stuff all round... All the best, M. M, the figures I used were 'Mc Steve LM' (obviously) and 'Lt Caine'. I cut the head off Steve McQueen and removed the folded down balaclava from around his neck then mounted the head on the Lt Caine figure. The gun holster and police badge were carved off and the shirt modified to turn it into a turtleneck style (I made a polyester putty roll for this) It was a little daunting at first but turned out quite straightforward in the end. Many thanks, Steve.

Stosh65
Outstanding work. Trying out my first car this year, if I can achieve even a tenth of that finish I'll be overjoyed.
