JamesP
Hi I'm interested in the sparmax GP-50 as a gun for putting primer on 1/72 aircraft kits, do you know what the spray pattern size range is?

JamesP
1/72 scale aircraft (max Canberra sized) and 1/32 scale cars. I have a Iwata Revolution CR (from you!) and find it's max spray pattern of 38mm is a bit too small to for getting a smooth primer coat (too much overspray) and looking for something with a ~50mm spray pattern. I confess I've been watching Paul Budzik's video's on airbrushing. https://youtu.be/M_-v7-Wp6no?list=PLRK4diRzRX1dR1mLnD9HGKdCtl2CxIiy6Though a Iwata spray gun is beyond my needs and my budget. Thanks for any advice. Edited December 28, 2015 by JamesP
little-cars
I've had a quick play with the GP-35 at a distance of about 7-8 inches the coverage is about 50mm wide. Most people find this OK for 1/72nd aircraft, but if feel you need larger cover age the 0.5mm version of the brush will deliver it. Hope that helps, Paul
JamesP
Thanks very much for actively looking into this for me during the hols. I also got a reply direct from Sparmax that the 0.5 also does 50mm at a similar distance. Btw where is the discount added, not seen mention on the website? JamesP
Many thanks for your assistance I've gone for the GP-50 as it will have less overlap with my Iwata CR and the conversion down to to 0.35 appears reasonable Edited December 30, 2015 by JamesP
