In discussion below there is something about plans:

Что знаю и уже отрисовано. Разветчик. Торпедоносец. Р5ш. Зимний. Поплавковый. Р5 ССС в планах. ПР-5 под вопросом но скорее всего будет. А варианты декалей чесно говоря не в курсе но владелец любит цветастые необычные раскраски так что может со временем и такой вариант будет

It could be translated (my translation)

Now is recce, torpedo, R5Sh, winter (comment: on skis? - JWM), on floats . In plans is R5 SSS . PR-5 is doubtful but most likely it will be done (comment: so I will keep off with scratch work - JWM).  And about the decal schemes he does not know, but the owner loves colorful schemes...

Regards

J-W

winter (comment: on skis? - JWM),

Yes, you got it right.

R-5SH (sh for "shturmovik) is a ground attach version

PR-5 was a passenger version with enclosed cockpit and cabin

I'm sorry to sound like the proverbial broken record (unless I've broken a record of a different kind for asking about this kit again and again), but is the release of the 1/72 version happening soon, I hope? I'd probably buy the 1/144 one, too, but I haven't noticed anyone selling it. Thanks in advance!

Got my kit today directly from the Ukraine, these are excellent flawless and highly detailed moldings.

Simply love this kit.

I agree completely - it's an excellent kit, although it may be a complex build from what I see on the instruction sheet. Once again, the little guys are showing the way, quality- and detailwise. I know, I know - apples and oranges - they're selling to the airplane-nut market, not the 10-year-old walk-in hobby shop customer, if there is such a thing nowadays. I really hope AMG continues on the VVS path. A Yak-9/VK-105 series, or a series of accurate I-16s, perhaps? Sorry - I got all wishlisty there...

A surprise in the latest Modelimex newsletter - 1/72 R-5 accessories from Clear Prop (I assume intended for the AMG kit), and yet no mention of them on the CP web site, yet:

R-5 exhausts:

R-5 exterior:

Unfortunately the images are not very helpful; I expect better ones will appear eventually on Clear Prop's site. I fired off an order immediately, but I don't expect to have them in hand for at least 2 - 3 weeks.

Thanks for that, Piotr! They look good, although I hoped for more from the exterior set. The airspeed venturi, item R-2, is very welcome - the two extra ones will be useful on other projects! :D

At least these sets seems to be cheap, at least in Poland - exterior for 4 GBP, exhaust for 3 GBP. Unfortunately, both will be available... in November.

Well, I was fooled - Modelimex claims to have them in stock already! That's why I was surprised - a shop says they have them, and they're not even up on CP's site yet? Seemed odd - now I know why. Oh well - it'll be November in no time, I suppose... :tumble:

Hannants have had them in stock since the middle of June:

Which is more than can be said for the kit itself:

It is there but "£TBA (Put this on Backorder and save 10%!)" what means that it is not there yet... ;)

I am curious what  boxes actually AMG planning? Anybody know it? There were even rumors about possible passenger variant PR-5 (here are some schemes for it: http://shipbucket.com/vehicles/5182/file  and here more on it https://airpages.ru/eng/ru/r5.shtml)

FWIW, I got mine here, but other ebay sellers are possible:

I had good service from this seller; I have no reluctance to recommend him. I'm thinking about buying another one, but he's only got one left, plus one Iranian and two Turkish.

November has come early - I just received the shipping notification from Modelimex!

Nothing showing on Clear Prop's "catalog" page, either. I asked them a few days ago about the status of their future 1/72 Su-25 and LaGG-3 series 66 kits, but so far, no reply.
